Mechanical Engineering at Powell Fenwick

Our well-established Mechanical team are known for their high-quality engineering solutions and first-class service. From one project to the next you could be working on universities, sports centres, aquatic centres and more. You will be collaborating and liaising with clients, project managers, architects, councils and contractors as well as providing integral support not only to our Mechanical team but working with our other disciplines as well.

The Mechanical team are passionate about incorporating sustainable designs solutions to their projects and we are proud to be Toitū net carbon zero certified – ensuring our operations are carbon neutral and working to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.

We’re also dedicated to designing energy efficient pool facilities which are easy to operate and maintain. We have completed many pool projects within the mechanical space, from residential to large public use facilities.

About you

• Hold a tertiary degree in mechanical engineering, or similar
• Will have experience in designing HVAC systems, such as, humidity and BMS
• Have an understanding of decarbonisation and condition assessments
• Ideally have experience with pool water systems including filtration and treatment systems and aquatic specific heating and ventilation systems
• Have great attention to detail
• Able to communicate effectively and professionally in person, and in written work
• Able to work collaboratively with both clients and team members
